INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY BUILDING
We recognize that some of the environmental issues will not be “solved” easily or instantly, and therefore, we will need to have strong organizations in place to continue to address them. Mongol Environmental Conservation will be working with nonprofit organizations to build their capacity and maximize their social impact.

Our capacity building programs will work to improve the effectiveness of local and international nonprofits working in Mongolia, and to enhance their ability to work towards their missions.

Because most nonprofits are addressing these pressing issues with limited resources, the majority of the organizations’ resources are dedicated to their specific programs. Nonprofits also often struggle in their capacity building efforts because of a simple lack of knowledge.

The MEC capacity building program will serve nonprofit organizations in Mongolia that are focused on the preservation of the environment and/or culture. We will work with local nonprofits and grassroots groups to improve the frameworks of their organizations via virtual training and/or on the ground workshops organized by professionals. The program will help local organizers to articulate their purpose and direction, evaluate their organization’s set of programs, measure performance, and improve planning, resource management, and external relationship building.

MEC’s Institutional Capacity Building Program will commence in 2011. In order to serve you better, we would like to hear from you about your needs. Please send your requests to info@mongolec.org.
